Our Story

From Handy Grandad
to HG Group.

What started as a grandson's idea to keep his grandad active in retirement has grown into an award-winning multi-trade business. We're finalists at the 2026 Coastal Local Business Awards and trusted across the Fylde Coast and the wider North West.

The early days were odd jobs and small repairs for neighbours, a dripping tap here and a fence panel there. Word travelled quickly, and as the calls grew beyond one pair of hands we brought in trusted tradespeople we'd worked alongside for years.

Today HG Group covers seven core services and hundreds of projects a year, from bathroom refits to full property renovations. What hasn't changed is how we work: turn up when we say, explain the job plainly, and leave a home better than we found it.
